Video: "Todas las cosas", Elle Belga

There’s a hazy but ultimately beautiful video for “Todas las Cosas”, easily one of the most sober and satisfying songs I’ve heard this year from the coexistence of male and female vocals. Elle Belga is the project of Josele Garcia and Fany Alvarez, who released their first album 1971 about a month ago, and although I haven’t been able to get to it yet, this first single is enough to get excited, it’s dreamy and a perhaps too classicist for my taste but it reminds me of Verano Fatal, that majestic album by Nacho Vegas and Christina Rosenvinge that was entirely neglected in Latin America for some reason, seriously check it out.

  1. The album is quite good; still it is in the same line as this song. Perhaps it’s too classicist for those who only want to dance or not pay attention to the texture of a song but it seems that this kind of music always arrived too late to Latin-America. For example what Natalie is doing nowadays is exactly the same sound that the Spanish bands have been working on for the last, at least, ten years…and the people it’s going crazy for her.
