There’s something about Cola Jet Set that I find disturbing, it sounds like a terrible thing to say, but their happy and cheerful spirits are well, excessively happy to function. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like I’m not happy myself or that I want my music to be in tune with my mood, I’m just not a fan of the picture-ready moments. However, not even I can resist their charm in their latest song “Suena El Telefono”, from their latest album Guitarras y Tambores (Elefant Records). The song reminds me of Niza, but even more youthful. If are currently catching up to Mexico’s great series Soy Tu Fan, you might have heard them on a couple of episodes, I can’t think of a better way to make their overly sweet songs transcend, music for the sitcom.
